The staff at the BCM at Georgia State exist to help students grow in their relationship with Christ. They are focused on developing relationships with students in order to help them grow in all aspects of life. We believe that we truly have the best jobs in the world and that we get to do this!

  • Austin Reaves

    Campus Minister

    My name is Austin Reaves, and I have the honor and the privilege of serving as the Campus Minister at Baptist Collegiate Ministry at Georgia State. I am originally from Newnan, GA. I went to the University of North Georgia where I majored in Marketing. It was there that I met my wonderful wife Savannah (at the BCM.) After graduating from college, I served for two years as an Intern at the Georgia Southern BCM. After interning, Savannah and I moved to Wake Forest, NC in order for me to pursue my MDiv at Southeastern Seminary. While at Southeastern, we had our first child Emerson Olivia Reaves. I love working with college students and helping them grow in their walk with Christ! I am passionate about coffee, Atlanta sports, board games, movies and anything outdoors. I look forward to getting to know you!

  • Faith Soke

    Campus Missionary

    Hello everyone, my name is Faith Soke and I am so excited to work as the new BCM Campus Missionary for Georgia State University. I recently graduated from Georgia State University’s College of Arts & Sciences with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and moved to Georgia in June 2015 when I was 13 years old. My hobbies include swimming, doing puzzles, playing badminton, and reading. One thing I am super excited about with this new role is reconnecting with the greatest people I have ever met at the BCM and building relationships with new people who come. I cannot wait to see all the amazing things that God is going to do this year at the BCM!!

The BCM at Georgia State is a student lead organization. While we do have several staff members, they serve as coaches and our student leaders plan events and are responsible for executing them. These are our leaders for the 2024-2025 School Year

  • Sarah Stephens

    President

    Hello, My name is Sarah, I am senior in Birth-5 Education. I grew up in church but came to have relationship with Christ when I started middle school. I love the BCM and it has been so influential in my life and in my college career. I am so excited for this up and coming year, and cannot wait to see where God takes our BCM this year.

  • Micah Mondt

    Vice President of Discipleship

    Hi, my name is Micah Mondt. I’m going into my junior year studying music composition here at GSU and I’m stoked to be the BCM’s VP of discipleship. I’ve been coming to the BCM for two years now and the community in Christ has been integral to both my college experience and my broader season of life. I hope for many more to be connected to this community, take advantage of ministry opportunities, and grow in their faith this year. I can’t wait to see what God does.

    Vice President of Missions

    I am a rising senior at GSU getting my degree in social work. In my free time I like to play sports, workout, and hike. I am passionate about helping my community and sharing the good news of the gospel.

    My name is Josh and I am currently a third year Real Estate major. I’ve been going to BCM now for about three years and I’m very excited to be the Vice President of Fellowship. During my role, I hope to plan events that help bring students to know Jesus. Can’t wait to meet everyone!

    Hey y’all, my name is Camiyah and I’m a second-year Psych major. As my second year at the BCM I’ll be leading our Social Media and Advertising. I have a passion for reading, a love for good rock music, and a fascination with the brain. I hope that through my work at the BCM, you see my strong love for Jesus and hopefully, it’ll point you towards your own. Can’t wait to see you all at Ignite!

    Event Coordinator

    Hi! My name is Sophie and I'm a second-year biology major here at Georgia State. I'm so happy to be able to serve the Lord through leadership at the BCM this year. As the event planner, I will strive to bring events to the BCM that encourage fellowship and community. In my free time, I enjoy music and playing the piano. I also love animals like cats and horses and hope to go to veterinarian school after undergrad. I look forward to a great year!

    My name is Sanai Atherton I am a child of God first, the Hospitality Leader at BCM, and an upcoming therapist and Mental Health advocate. I strive to make Mental Healthcare more accessible for the community.

    Men’s Minister

    For the last decade, I've been an ordained minister, preaching at various churches, and offering consultations to rising ministries. As the Men's Minister for Georgia State BCM I am dedicated to fostering a Christ-centered environment where young men can grow spiritually and personally. With a passion for discipleship and community building, I strive to guide my brothers in Christ further in their faith journeys, encouraging them to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Through leading Bible studies, organizing fellowship events, and being open to one-on-one mentorship, I aim to equip and inspire this generation of Christian men to live out their faith authentically and boldly.

    Women’s Minister

    Hey everyone, my name is Julia and I’m the new women’s leader for the BCM this next school year and i’m super excited!! I am currently going into my sophomore year. A little bit about me: I grew up in Atlanta and am from Argentina. I love sports, all types of music, and hanging out with friends. This year I want to continue to grow in my relationship with the Lord while leading and getting closer to other women at the BCM!! I want to put Him at the center of everything I do! I cannot wait to see what His plans are.

    Hi, my name is Carson and I am the worship leader for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. I am a sophomore this upcoming year and pursuing a biology degree. I love playing any sport but especially basketball and I love to fish. Excited for this upcoming year!!

    Outreach Coordinator

    My name is Caleb but I go by CJ, I am a photography and film major at GSU. I’ve had a relationship with God since an early age but got baptized in 2023 at my church’s summer camp. I really enjoy listening to music but also making music as well. I know how to play the guitar, bass and a little bit of the drums.

    Hi everyone! I'm Jason Mendez. I'm a regular sleepy person who loves playing soccer, the piano, and writing poetry. I'm outgoing and always up for making new friends, with a silly personality that aims to make others smile. Sharing the gospel is something I hold dearly and I would love to help others in doing so or simply share it with others.

    Hi! My name is Steven David, and I’m a 3rd year law student here at Georgia State. I love reading history, philosophy, and law, watching sports, and serving Jesus! I’m excited to serve as the Grad student international leader this school year. Looking forward to living out my favorite verse, Galatians 2:20, in this role this year!

    Undergraduate International Student Minister

    Hello guys!!! My name is Tommy Moore and I will be your International Students Leader (Undergrad) for this school year. I can't wait to have the opportunity to meet each and every one of you guys. I'm currently a Junior at GSU where I'm majoring in Journalism with a minor in Film/Media. As an Atlanta native, I love exploring the city as I often go to concerts, sporting events and other attractions that the city offers. I also enjoy exercising, doing social media, gaming and cooking.

    One of my main goals as the International Students (Undergrad) Leader is to encourage and invite undergraduate international students into the BCM where they can learn about faith, fellowship, discipleship and community.

    Another main goal is to understand their home culture and to share the American lifestyle into their lives. Finally, one of my main goals is to help them navigate and be connected to the city of Atlanta as there are many wonderful things to do here.
